ATVing

Renfrew
County
The
RCATV
was
formed
late
in
2007
as
an
incorporated
not-for-profit
organization
known
as
Renfrew
County
All
Terrain
Vehicle
Club
Inc.
RCATV
is
dedicated
to
providing
leadership
and
support
to
its
membership,
to
establish
and
maintain
quality
ATV
trails
throughout
the
region
in
conjunction
with
its
partners
that
will
be
used
in
a
safe
and
environmentally
responsible
manner
to
further
promote
the
enjoyment
of
organized
all
terrain
vehicles.
RCATV
partners
with
the
Eastern
Ontario
Trails
Alliance
(EOTA),
the
County
of
Renfrew,
Ottawa
Valley
Tourist
Association,
and
the
Ministry
of
Natural
Resources
to
bring
linked
trails
to
Renfrew
County.
ATVing
excitement
is
offered
on
its
many
miles
of
managed
trails
that
meander
through
forests,
lake
view
vistas
and
remarkable
Ontario
landscapes.
An
EOTA
trail
pass
is
required
on
private
or
leased
property
and
can
be
enforced
under
the
Trespass
to
Property
Act,
R.S.O.
1990,c.T.21
and
Occupiers
Liability
Act,
R.S.O.
1990,
c.
O.2.
Members
are
asked
to
show
respect
for
and
agree
not
to
trespass
on
private
property,
and
shall
access
the
trails
system
only
from
May
1st
to
December
1st.
The
cost
of
a
trail
permit
is
$120/season;
$35/week
or
$12/day.
Permits
can
be
purchased
at
a
number
of
locations
in
the
Ottawa
Valley.

400-kilometre
network
of
trails
built
on
a
foundation
of
abandoned
rail
lines
and
forest
access
roads.
This
adventurous
route
winds
its
way
across
the
countryside
passing
through
several
rural
communities
that
provide
riders
with
convenient
access
to
a
wide
variety
of
supplies,
services
and
accommodations.
Located
in
the
Ottawa
Valley/Eastern
Ontario,
the
natural
beauty
of
these
lands
is
unsurpassed.
Our
trail
systems
cuts
through
muddy
wetlands,
shaded
forests,
shimmering
lakes
and
verdant
farmlands.
