Celebrate Tom Thompson in Algonquin Park and The Barron River Canyon

See the recently restored Outside In cabin that commemorates Group of Seven painter Tom Thompson who created one of his signature pieces, The Jack Pine, while working at Grand Lake in Algonquin Park.

Don’t forget to include a visit to the Ottawa Valley’s mini grand canyon - the Barron River Canyon. A short 2km hike will lead you to the towering 100 metre red rock cliffs. Enter Algonquin Park through Sand Lake Gate between Pembroke and Petawawa, just off Hwy 17.
