CoolHemp

Hemp grows exceptionally well in the Ottawa Valley, and was a major crop prior to its ban in the 1920’s. Robbie and Christina Anderman operate a successful hemp farm in Killaloe Ontario, creating products like CoolHemp ice cream. Robbie started a commune called Morning Glory back in 1969 just before Woodstock. It is now referred to as an “intentional community” and the “herbs” are mostly for eating or medicine, and the sons and daughters of the “hippies” are now adults and parenting their own children on the farm. A real interesting story! (www.coolhemp.com)
