Holy Catfish! Great Fishing in the Ottawa

OTTAWA RIVER: The Ottawa River between Pembroke and Arnprior courses through the very heart of the upper Ottawa Valley.  It's a breathtaking 60km. stretch teeming with flora and fauna, brilliant wates and clear air.

The Laurentian ridge of the Canadian Shield rises to the north, while farm acreage and woodlands roll away to the south.  Historically, this section of the Ottawa was a river highway for fur-trading voyageurs and adventurous log drivers who had to conquer these rock-walled rushing waters just to survive.

Today, the popularity of whitewater rafting along las Roche Fendu attets to the river's powerful current.  And for sport and recreational anglers, these same waters are emerging as one of North America's most exciting hot spots to bid for channel cats.
