Whitewater Rafting is a Family Affair

BEACHBURG, ON - The SARS scare even effected the number of visitors entering the Ottawa Valley last season. But at OWL Rafting, their mid-week rafting numbers were up. This was totally due to an increase in active families coming out to experience the thrill of rafting - together.

Family rafting is a great activity to share with your kids. Descending the rapids in a wilderness setting brings yelps of excitement and big smiles as you and your child get soaked by the crashing river waves. This quickly becomes the thrill of the summer for every parent.

Traditionally, whitewater rafting has been considered a high adventure, adult only activity. However, with newer, specially designed equipment, running more conservative rapid lines, and advanced safety equipment, family rafting has become mainstream.
