Zurakowski's Park

BARRY’S BAY: The new Zurakowski Park honours local resident and world renowned test pilot Janusz Zurakowski “Zura”.

The most notable aircraft tested by Zura was the Canadian supersonic interceptor known as the CF-105 Avro Arrow. Zurakowski Park has been constructed on the arrow-shaped property across from the Barry's Bay Railway Station.

The park consists of a large scale replica of the Avro Arrow aircraft with a statue of Janusz Zurakowski. A tourist pavilion with interactive displays will be built in the near future.
