SHOW UPDATE
Over
the past couple of months, OVTA
staff have been busy attending various
consumer trade shows in Ottawa,
Toronto and Montréal, reaching more
than 300,000 potential visitors
to the Ottawa Valley!
We
would like to thank the following
members who volunteered their time
to work in the OVTA booth:

LOCAL
TRADE SHOW OPPORTUNITIES - APRIL
7
The
Ottawa Valley is a popular destination
for tourists who are visiting friends
and relatives (VFR) and the local
residents who receive them are always
looking for fresh and unique ways
to entertain them. Attending local
trade shows are the perfect opportunity
to promote your business/product
to the local tourism market.
Members
are invited to participate at the
upcoming myFM Home & Leisure
Show and the Petawawa Showcase,
by volunteering to work in the OVTA
booth or sending brochures for distribution.
Show
dates, locations and volunteer shifts
are as follows:
myFM
Home & Leisure Show: April 11-13,
Mat-a-way Activity Centre, Renfrew
Friday,
April 11: 4pm - 9pm
Saturday,
April 12: 10am - 2pm (shift 1) and
2pm - 6pm (shift 2)
Sunday, April
13: 10am - 1:30pm (shift 1) and
1:30pm - 5pm (shift 2)
Petawawa
Showcase: April 18-20, Civic Centre,
Petawawa
Friday, April 18: 12pm
- 4:30pm (shift 1) and 4:30pm -
9pm (shift 2)
Saturday, April
19: 10am - 2pm (shift 1) and 2pm
- 6pm (shift 2)
Sunday, April
20: 10am - 1:30pm (shift 1) and
1:30pm - 5pm (shift 2)
The
cost for brochure distribution is
$25/show. Members who volunteer
to work in the booth can distribute
their brochure for FREE!

GOLF GETAWAYS CONTEST - APRIL 7
Members
are invited to donate golf prizes
for the annual OVTA Great Golf Getaways
contest. This on-line contest promotes
golfing in the Ottawa Valley and
invites consumers to enter a ballot
on the OVTA web site for a chance
to win golfing excursions.
Cost:
Donation of golf prizes, ie:
green fees, accommodations, etc.
Anyone
interested in donating a prize should

RAPID
MAGAZINE CO-OP AD - APRIL 7 &
MAY 30
The
deadline for members to participate
in the May edition of the Rapid
Magazine co-op ad is MONDAY, APRIL
7 and the deadline to participate
in the July edition is FRIDAY, MAY
30.
In
each issue, a full-page ad promoting
the "Whitewater Capital of
Canada" brand and various paddling
routes will be highlighted. Featured
routes will include:

SUMMER
E-TRAVEL PACKAGES - MAY 19
Members
who are interested in participating
in the Summer E-Travel Packages
(a FREE promotional opportunity),
are reminded to e-mail their information
to Kim at kfraser@countyofrenfrew.on.ca by
MONDAY, MAY 19.
The
Summer E-Travel packages, which
will be distributed in May, is sent
to the OVTA visitor inquiries e-mail
list - totalling more than 1000
names.
