Bus
Tour: Fall Colours and Three Museums
in one Day! (Tell your guests)
This
year’s exciting Whitewater Museum
fall bus tour on Thursday September
21st takes you to the Ottawa valley’s
rugged northwest. Starting in Foresters
Falls at 8:30 am with a pick-up
in Cobden at 9am. Our first stop
will be at the Champlain Trail Museum
in Pembroke, after which we will
head to Petawawa for soup, sandwiches
and dessert at the Twin Rivers Club
with its stunning view of the confluence
of the Ottawa and Petawawa rivers.
From there it’s up to Deep River
to both the Schoolhouse Museum where
Curator John Wright will lead the
tour, and to the Canadian Clock
Museum, one of a kind in Canada.
If time permits we will also visit
the Valley Artisans Store in Deep
River.
This
trip is open to both members and
the general public bring, so bring.
a camera and enjoy the fall colours
while someone else does the driving.
The tour price of $40.00, includes
museum entry fees and lunch. Call
Clare Stoppa at 613 646 2500 by
September 14 to book. Be ready with
the exact amount as you board the
bus. Last year we had a full busload
so call soon.
The
Whitewater Historical Society offers
this tour as part of our fall season,
which also includes seminars and
